Loving the blog world!

I recently discovered a couple blogs and started following them. I really enjoy them. Holly over at "Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally" keeps me laughing. She's even following my blog now...I feel so special! I want to have 10 followers by the end of the year. Yep...that's my goal. Gonna start linking up and meeting people. I also follow "Mama Laughlin" who is like the Texas version of me and most recently is Aly at "Analyze This". It's so strange how you can feel like you've become friends with someone and know so much about them yet you've never met! Weird but I'm loving it!

I almost let a sweet friend talk me into reactivating my Facebook account. I just can't do it! I don't mean to sound rude but I enjoy not knowing everytime someone is having a bad day or what they're eating for dinner. I'm such a hater...I know. Also the one that drove me nuts was always the famous status that goes like this..."worst day ever...ugh...omg!!"
Then you kindly reply, "sorry, hope your day gets better"...only for this person to reply "I'm gonna inbox you". Ummm...what?!? Why?!?! I didn't ask what the problem was and if youre gonna put it out there then share it for all to see! I digress...

Aly made a post today about "if you really knew me"... thinking I may do this tomorrow if I get some time. But for now, the weekly update!

Carter still loves everything about preschool. He's with his Mimi and Pop pop right now at the Delta Fair. I hope they take him by Target while they're in Memphis! He's bugged me to take him all week and I can't get him to understand mommy can't go to Target now. I already went once this month and bought some things I really "needed".

Aubree is having a rough start to the school year so remember her in your prayers! Her grades are good but she's learning who her true friends are and is having a hard time with it. Kids are so cruel, especially little girls. She's at that age where social acceptance is a big thing. She's not playing softball anymore. It's too hard to balance the practices and games during the school year. She starts hip hop and jazz ballet next week. It's only one class a week and she's excited. Hopefully she will make some new friends there. Poor thing! And she's not even in junior high yet!

Caleb is getting to be such a big boy! He climbed up on the couch earlier and sat next to me. He's been feeding himself cereal and is standing alone for a longer period of time than last week. I'm selfish...I don't want him to walk. How terrible! Like it or not it's gonna happen. Caleb and I took my Meemaw out to lunch today at Well's Kitchen. She had never been and she loved it! I think it made her day.

And another prayer request for my Daddy. He continues to have heart problems. He keeps going into atrial fibrillation. Not to worry, I've made sure the 18-wheeler is parked! He's scheduled for his billionth heart cath next Friday. I just have a feeling he's gonna have a bypass this time. This is why I've been on my health kick with all the healthy food and exercise. I don't want to end up like that or like my grandparents that had as they called it "the dia-beat-us". But I do miss the heck out of cupcakes, bacon, burgers, fries, salt, cookies, cupcakes, salt, bacon, and did I mention cupcakes?!? Lol!

This weeks pics include Caleb cleaning out a cabinet (no we didn't drill the child proof apparatus thingy into our new custom cabinets), Carter sporting his T-Rex shirt, pretty Tennessee sky, and a pic of our home that we're in love with!

  3. Thanks for the shout out, lady! More readers will find you during a link up, so participate on Tuesday. :)

And yes, I totally agree about the blog friend thing. It's hard to explain to other people, but we really do feel like we know each other.

I hope Aubree has a good next week of school and that your dad gets better.

I'm looking forward to your "If you knew me..." post.

    Happy Friday!

  5. Okay, last comment. I hope your Dad is doing okay! My Dad was REALLY sick about a year ago and was in and out of the hospital for a long time, so I somewhat know how you feel.

And the main thing I wanted to comment on is the fact that I feel awful that Aubree had a rough start to the school year. I can be the first to attest to the fact that kids are so cruel at that age, especially girls. I'm really hoping that she is doing much better now. I have a few 10 year olds in my classroom.
